Hi, I AM...

Enrique Santin, a Senior Procurement Manager with almost 20 years of international experience in consumer products with BSH, part of the Robert Bosch group. During my purchasing career I have been based in several countries such as Spain, Turkey and for more than 10 years now in Germany as the global head of several material groups.

Currently I am responsible for plastic parts in Europe, remotely managing a team of over 30 purchasers in 5 different countries with a total PVO of around 500Mio€.

MY PROJECT

Alongside my active purchasing role, I have decided to start a second career in teaching, launching Santin Consulting as a way to share my professional experience, systematic and pragmatic work method, as well as my enthusiasm and passion for purchasing.

Because more importantly than where, what or how much I am responsible for it is that I really enjoy purchasing. And I do believe that the excellence is just that: high performance with the right combination of a systematic approach, experience and a love of what we do.

VISION

The main asset of a purchasing organization is highly skilled and efficient purchasers. Management skills, robust processes and a lean organization are very important factors for success but without the right purchasers, they don’t stand a chance.

The business environment, including purchasing organizations, has changed completely over the last few years. Companies have grown rapidly in different markets, at same time that markets have become more dynamic. Consequently, organizations have become bigger and more complex, making agility and global synergy more important than ever before.

The general approach to success in this complex environment is global managing over distance, but decentralizing purchasing responsibilities and empowering local organizations. The advantages are enormous: optimizing all available resources in all locations… being on one hand close to the markets, and on the other hand maintaining the global overview, synergy and processes.

MISSION

Local empowerment is the key factor to success, but at same time the main challenge. How can one guarantee high performance purchasers in all locations, even when the skills required nowadays were not needed before? Even when local management does not have the role of mentor anymore because it is not directly involved in the business? Or when global functional management is directly involved, but often not present?

The fulfillment of this challenge is my mission with Santin Consulting: providing inexperienced purchasers with key knowledge in a systematic, step-by-step approach, improving their performance level.

By offering you improved purchasing performance, my goal is to become the most valuable partner for your company.

WHO IS IT FOR?

This training program has been created for employees new to purchasing, but is also recommended for operative purchasers without experience in a strategic approach.

It combines dynamic presentations, real examples from my professional life and interactive business cases to be worked out by the participants.

Structure of the Training

We will go through all the main processes of purchasing following six separate courses, from the very beginning like purchasing principles and KPI’s, to the final purchasing steps, such as strategy definition and supplier negotiation.

Through these 6 courses you will learn everything you need to know to be a good strategic purchaser. But keep in mind that a good purchaser is not an excellent purchaser. Therefore I also offer an additional course where we will explore excellence: the connection between using your personal strengths, enjoying what you do, and being successful.

The 6 courses are structured in 2 training blocks: STRATEGIC PURCHASING 1 and STRATEGIC PURCHASING 2 each of them with 20 learning hours over the course of two and a half days.
